Why you play worse in tennis matches than practice & HOW TO FIX IT!
All your shots felt great in practice - forehands, backhands and serves! Then you go play a tennis match - and you play terrible! In this video, I'll share with you why you might be a "practice champ" and what you can do to play at a similar level in matches.

    Meike Babel I like a lot your videos and I appreciate you very much but, It is not wrong IF one keeps the hips forward rotated and the trunk turned back, thus obtaining hip-shoulder separation, an essential element . Let's not throw away everything from the past, there were players with great serves who brought the back foot forward, example Roscoe Tanner, 153 mph with a wooden racket!

    What a great video Meike! I think everyone should watch this once they get serious about winning matches . about practicing and playing with people who have different styles. I mean how are you going to learn how to beat a pusher (ex.) if you dont play them !? I agree about playing more mtaches but like you said sometimers there just isnt time, I tend to play 10 point tie breakers after the warm up . its not physically as demanding but handling the nerves is very similar since one break can do you in. r

    Meike there’s a significant ball speed difference, however watching your service action without the speed tracking it looks similar. Are you intentionally varying the speed and why or …. ?

    Is the initial coil not lost if you make steps after the coil.? I have the feeling that the initial tension on the uniturn is lost. Can you explain that?

  • @froilanferrer8377
    @froilanferrer8377 5 днів тому

    I see a hitch in your swing motion and that is: Letting your tossing arm drop down too early as you swing up the racket instead of leaving it up a little until your racket has almost in contact with the ball. This will allow you to tuck in your tossing arm down towards your tummy after you hit the ball thus creating that torque.

    Yup, point play without wasting time hitting from the middle not more than 10 minutes. You’re not there for meditation! What I do now after a little warm up is at least to tell my practice partner let’s start moving each other around now like in a point, but not trying to hit winners initially. After 10 more minutes of doing this now start hitting winners too if the opportunity is there.
